I remember when I didn’t have a PC that was powerful enough to run an “Alien” game. Now they are on mobile?
We seen glimpses of a new horror style “Alien” franchise game since last year and more and more in the last couple of weeks. But it seems the most horrific thing about the game is something they were not telling us until now and people are not happy.
The next game called “Alien: Blackout” is a mobile exclusive.
That means we won’t be getting a follow up to “Alien: Isolation” but instead a throw away mobile game that we’ll get bored of playing after three goes because mobile controls are notoriously clunky. I’m sorry but it’s true. Mobile phones are great for games like “Candy Crush” or “Angry Birds” but when was the last time you played a game with substance on your phone. (Pokemon Go doesn’t count)
Bethesda had the right idea when they did “Fallout Shelter”, give us a fun little game that keeps us invested in the brand while we are away from our PC’s or Consoles and unable to play the fully fledged Fallout game.
I think this is a bad idea. It may open the game up to more fans who are casual gamers but just what type of game will we be getting?
I’m happy to be proven wrong, but I doubt that will be the case.
In the game you are Amanda Ripley aboard an infested space station and need to guide your crew to safety and avoid encounters with the alien xenomorph. The game is produced by FoxNext Games, D3 Go! and Rival Games.
It’s like if Blizzard where to announce a new Diablo game and then say it’s mobile only… oh wait… that did happen.
Alien: Blackout will be available for download on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore
