Stranger Things is Coming to VR with an Unthinkable Twist

In an interesting twist, Netflix juggernaut “Stranger Things” is coming to Virtual Reality as a game, but you won’t play as the hero. Instead, you’ll play as the antagonist “Vecna” in this new Stranger Things adventure in VR.

Become an explorer of unknown realities as you form the hive mind and tame the void.

Invade minds and conjure nightmares in your quest to enact revenge on Eleven and Hawkins

Now, that doesn’t even include a game, but there is a bundled version for USD $599.99 that is said to include the voucher code for “Horizon: Call of the Mountain”.  A game that looks like it will be a must own title for this new setup and exclusive to PlayStation.

But at the rate Australian mortgages are increasing on a daily basis I’ll be lucky to grab the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station for USD$49.99 and then just pretend I have VR by sitting really close to the TV and playing Horizon: Forbidden West with the lights off.

Hopefully, this opens the VR doorway for much more Stranger Things content, imagine if you could play as cult favourite Eddie Munson ripping into his Metallica Master of the Puppets guitar epic but in a VR game that mimicked the likes of Guitar Hero. It’s just an idea, but hey this game still looks epic.

Stranger Things VR is a psychological horror/action game developed by Tender Claws and is still a bit of a wait as it comes to major VR platforms in the US Winter of 2023, which is around December in Australia.
