In a massive crossover for fans of both Netflix’s sci-fi hit and the world of Pokémon, Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo has been revealed as the face of the new promotional campaign for the highly anticipated Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Matarazzo, best known for his role as Dustin Henderson, guides fans through the key features of the upcoming title in a new trailer. Set to launch on October 16, 2025, the game promises to be one of the year’s biggest releases for the Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A Game Details
This new action-packed adventure is set entirely within the futuristic cityscape of Lumiose City, where players will embark on an urban redevelopment programme alongside their Pokémon. A key highlight is the long-awaited return of Mega Evolution, a fan-favourite feature that is set to inject new strategic colour into the game’s dynamic, real-time battles.
The latest major entry in the franchise, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is the first title in the Legends sub-series since Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released in January 2022.
Nintendo Switch 2 Console Bundle
To celebrate the launch, Nintendo will also be releasing a limited-edition Nintendo Switch 2 + Pokémon Legends: Z-A Bundle on the same day, October 16, 2025. This exclusive bundle includes a Nintendo Switch 2 console and a digital download code for the full game. I know there are people who have been holding off on getting the Switch 2 just for this bundle, so better be quick!
