A Remastered “Alan Wake” is Coming to Multiple Systems

Remedy Entertainment have used the Sony Showcase to premiere a new trailer for the upcoming remaster of “Alan Wake”.

This in my opinion is one of the great games that I often include in my top 5 games of all time. So I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on this updated version.

The action adventure title was originally an Xbox 360 exclusive back in 2010. It’s survival horror elements likened it to the “Resident Evil” saga. But it was the “Television Series” episodic structure with plot twists, drama, susspense and mystery that really got people hooked.

The story followed the best-selling thriller author Alan Wake and his journey to discover the mystery behind his wife’s disappearance in a small town called “Bright Falls”. Best selling Author Stephen King and his work were obvious inspiration for the game that even includes quotes and references to films/books like “The Shining”.

The trailer shows off the gameplay and highly impressive upgrade to the graphics. Some remasters have a slick new coat of paint and are shipped off the assembly line but it really looks like this one has had the time and effort put in of its original release and it’s being treated as some what as a reboot to the franchise with a sequel expected to follow shortly after it’s October release.

The game will be available on multiple platforms this time being released on PC, Xbox and Playstation systems.
