Telltale Games have been famous for their episodic game series based on popular IPs like “The Walking Dead,” “Batman,” “Game of Thrones” and many more.
Sadly in a reminder that the gaming industry is a business the unique style is coming to an end with reports that Telltale is going into Majority closure. This means hundreds of employees were let go.
The small group of 25 employees that remain will apparently fulfil the company’s obligations to its board and partners.
Telltale released the first episode of “The Walking Dead: The Final Season” in August of this year with the second episode scheduled to arrive soon however it looks like the rest of the season is cancelled as well as a Stranger Things game that was in development with Netflix.
Netflix still seem keen on the idea of bringing the popular show to the video game medium and are currently weighing up other options.
