LEGO Friends Universe BRINGs Inclusivity to a Whole New Level

February is a special month dedicated to celebrating the beauty of friendship, and this year, LEGO has launched a new range in its Friends Universe to mark the occasion.

It’s designed in a way for children to immerse themselves in a world of fun and friendship, while learning about inclusivity and diversity.

The new LEGO Friends Universe range is a refreshing update on the classic toy, with a more diverse and inclusive character lineup. Children of all backgrounds and abilities can find a character that resonates with them, as the range features characters from various cultures, ethnicities, genders, physical abilities, non-visible disabilities, and neurodivergent backgrounds.

One of the things I like about this range is that it’s compatible with the LEGO builder app. This app has been an absolute “LEGO Lifesaver”. I recently found a stack of old LEGO from when I was a kid and have been able to recreate some of my favourite sets using it as there is a lot of sets from the past included in the app as well.

This app is designed to help families build sets with ease, but it’s also packed with fun features that make the building process a collaborative and enjoyable experience for the whole family. With the app, children can build sets as a team or challenge themselves to create something special in a limited time.

I have a 4-year-old girl who is building Friends LEGO designed for a 6-year-old, mainly down to her own determination and an app that has simple easy-to-follow instructions.

The LEGO Friends Universe range isn’t just about having fun, it’s also a great way for children to learn and grow. Through role-play with the mini-doll toys, kids can develop their interpersonal skills, improve their emotional awareness, and learn about caring for animals and driving vehicles.

Overall, the new LEGO Friends Universe range is a fantastic way to celebrate friendship month and promote inclusivity and diversity through play. So, head to your nearest store, grab a set, and let your child dive into a world of fun and learning!
