Blizzard and Nintendo have announced that Diablo is in fact coming to the Nintendo Switch.
The game will feature all of the content from the original game, The reaper of souls expansion and The rise of the Necromancer DLC.
The video features President of Nintendo, Reggie Fils-Aime and CEO of Blizzard, Mike Morhaime having a strange video conference conversation about the game coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console. Discussing the importance of being able to play a game like Diablo 3 on the go.
At around the 2 minute mark you’ll get a first look at the trailer for the game.
The game will also feature some Nintendo exclusives. You’ll be able to discover pieces of the Zelda universe in Sanctuary. The Cucco companion pet, a Triforce portrait frame and an exclusive transmogrification set that will let your heroes wear the iconic Ganondorf armor set.
I’m excited to see a Diable game on the Switch, but it’s another game that we’ve played before. I hope this is just setting the console up to have AAA titles on release day in the future rather than just a machine that plays old stuff.
