Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames have dropped a 14-minute “gameplay deep dive” video for “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” which will come to Xbox Series X|S and PC via Game Pass on December 9th before seeing a delayed release on the PS5 in early 2025.
The choice of being a first-person title has taken a fair bit of cricism, but being developed by MachineGames it makes perfect sense as they are actually famous for the rebooted “Wolfenstein” franchise so they know it well and the proof is there.
Plus the game does switch to a third person for cinematics and other well placed animations so that you never forget who the character is that you are playing. The use of shadows also show your iconic siloette just like in the films.
Indy himself is voiced by Troy Baker who is probably most famous for playing “Joel” in The Last of Us as well as many voices in many other games and animated projects.

The adventure will take us to the likes of Rome, Shanghai, Thailand, Egypt and the Himalayas.
Plus Indy will team up with investigative reporter Gina Lombardi (Alessandra Mastronardi) who has an interest in the case. The game’s villain is the manipulative Emmerich Voss (voiced by Marios Gavrilis) and will posthumously star veteran actor Tony Todd (Candyman), who only passed away recently.
The Deep Dive has achieved to get me more excited for the new game and I’ll drop a review for it shortly after it’s release on December 9 so check back for more.
