During Sony’s CES 2023 press conference, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan announced that the critically acclaimed Gran Turismo 7 will be getting support for PSVR 2, the second-generation virtual reality headset set to release on February 22.
For those who have already picked up Gran Turismo 7, the VR mode will be available as a free upgrade. And for those who are just joining the Virtual Reality Revolution, Gran Turismo 7 will be one of many launch titles available for the new PSVR 2, along with Horizon: Call of the Mountain, No Man’s Sky, and Resident Evil Village.
In our review of Gran Turismo 7, we praised the title’s stunning graphics, abundance of racing options, and haptic feedback thanks to the PS5’s DualSense controller. And now with the added support for PSVR 2, players can fully immerse themselves in the world of Gran Turismo like never before.
And that’s not all, Sony also gave fans a sneak peek at the upcoming Gran Turismo movie set to hit theatres later this year. Alongside the announcement of Project Leonardo, a new accessibility controller kit compatible with the PS5. It’s a big year for Gran Turismo fans and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel and experience it all on the PSVR2.
