Gas Station Simulator: Fueled Up and Ready for Action

In the last few years, we’ve seen some really interesting simulator games including but not limited to Farm simulator 22, Lawn Mowing Simular, Electrician Simulator, the VR game Job Simulator, and there’s even a PC Building Sim, not to mention games like Two Point Hospital and House Flipper. Well, now it’s time to head into the world of Gas Station Ownership. Available on Steam now at a pretty reasonable $28.95au

About Gas Station Simulator

As the title suggests, your first step is to buy an abandoned gas station and restore it to its full glory. It’s really hard for me to not slip into calling it a petrol station as we do here in Australia, but get into character as you play and go “Gas Station” all the way!

Let’s face it with fuel prices at an all-time high, we can only afford to fill up in a video game.

Once you move in you’ll need to get rid of the debris and broken furniture that scatters the place, repair the damaged walls, paint and then decorate the place to your liking. But, it’s not all about looks (although the better it does the more customers you’ll attract) so don’t blow all your cash there, you’ll also need to repair the equipment or buy what can’t be repaired and start serving your customers to earn money for further renovations and improvements.

As the game progresses you can expand your gas station to be able to serve more customers. adding services that attract more and more varied customers. You have various expansion options at your disposal, from smaller ones like providing toilets (it’s the decent thing to do), a simple shop to complement your income up to big ones like an entire workshop to perform car repairs or even a car wash.

As you restoring your gas station is one thing, you can give it that personal touch as well. The game offers a wide array of options to customize what you have already built and lots of decorations to further enhance the uniqueness of the place. Some decorations can be bought, others have to be acquired during gameplay.

This is a customer service industry so serving your customers is key to running your gas station with success.

They all expect to have their cars filled up, and their shopping done right away and aren’t that patient even when it comes to repairs of their vehicles. You are going to be dealing with some serious time pressure at peak hours and have to schedule various tasks for when it’s less hectic. Proper time management and choosing the right priorities become very important when it comes to keeping your customers happy. You’ll learn lessons here you can take into real life.

This is not a job you can do on your own, you are going to need help. So hire some employees before you run yourself ragged. You can hire even multiple employees to help you with the various tasks at the gas station. Employees have their own skills and just like the real thing some are better at some tasks than others. They might start out green but the employees will become better as they level up.

Having employees will let you take care of the big picture stuff like stock inventory making sure that you order at the right time for the right price helps to keep profits up. Upgrade to build a warehouse and expand it to allow for larger storage. Keeping a close eye on your stock is crucial as deliveries take time and you really don’t want to run out of goods to sell, not to mention fuel.
