Epic has rolled out the new update to battle royale game Fortnite.
The new patch is 10.10 and is live on PS4, PC, Xbox One, mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch.
A rift zone has caused Mega Mall to revert back to classic Retail Row but the shopping centre has been overrun by hoards of Zombie like creatures. This comes after Neo Tilted was turned into Tilted Town last week.
There’s a new limited time mode called ‘World Run’ which is a squad mode that divides 16 players in up to 4 teams. The team that collects 30 coins the fasted is the winner.
Finally, opinions have been divided on the B.R.U.T.E Mechs. Some see them as a welcome change to the game others are more traditionalist players that don’t like the idea. Pretty much everyone agrees though that they are severally overpowered. The addition of a targeting laser to the mechs works for both attack and defence in that if you are in the Mech you can see where you are aiming, but if you are being attacked by one you can also see it, making it easier to avoid. The B.R.U.T.E’s will also spawn far less frequently in certain modes.
Love it or hate it, Fortnite is a game that is always evolving and it’s popularity doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
