During today’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Special Panel at SXSW, Hideo Kojima was joined by Norman Reedus, Troy Baker, and Woodkid to announce the highly anticipated release date. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is officially set to launch on 26 June 2025, with pre-orders opening on Monday, 17 March, at 10:00 am local time.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Death Stranding, is a gripping open-world adventure set in a post-apocalyptic landscape. Directed and designed by the legendary Hideo Kojima, the game features an outstanding cast, including Norman Reedus as Sam Porter Bridges, Elle Fanning as Tomorrow, and Léa Seydoux as Fragile.

PlayStation Australia has revealed the launch date for DS2, along with details about three editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. Both the Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions include 48-hour early access to the game, as well as exclusive in-game items like a Quokka patch and a Quokka hologram.
Kojima Productions has unveiled the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach “Stranding Harmony” Concert Series, a global tour celebrating the captivating music of Death Stranding. The tour kicks off on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the iconic Sydney Opera House, with additional performances scheduled worldwide.
