A great example of this are games from the last few weeks like Doom Eternal, Animal Crossing and even the Final Fantasy VII remake all making the intended 2020 release dates.

It seems now like that immunity is now over as some of this year’s biggest releases are getting pushed back, indefinitely.

Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us Part II” is probably in the top two most anticipated games this year and was set for release on May 29th, a release from the company has now told us that even though the game will be finished it will not be released right now.

It seems like digital sales may not be at a high enough level to ensure a good enough return for the product. There are still plenty of people who prefer to support gaming stores and own a physical copy.

On top of that Sony has announced that Marvel’s “Iron Man VR” will also see a delay from it’s original May 15th release date.

Many of the gaming industries’ biggest companies were early adopters of the “work from home” model as you can see from this tweet from CD Projekt Red who will be releasing Cyberpunk 2077 in September this year.
