Blizzard Entertainment’s BlizzCon convention is underway in LA and they have opened the event with two absolutley massive announcements.
We can finally look forward to a “Diablo IV” and “Overwatch 2” and it’s not all talk either, two announcement videos have been launched.
The “Diablo” franchise has been a staple for video game enthusiasts who have enjoyed the action role playing genre since 1996. They don’t rush games out every year either, each game is carefully designed and created with around a 4 year gap between the first two titles (1996 & 2000). They third wasn’t released for another 12 years and now it looks like we can expect Diablo 4 in 2020, 6 years after the 3rd game. During the breaks we have still being spoilt with extra content and as late as 2018 the release of Diable 3 on the Nintendo Switch bringing in a whole new generation of players.
The three character classes in the new game will be Barbarian, Sorceress and Druid, simplifing the classes since the last game, but expect more added over time. As usual there will be endless hordes of demons to slaughter, deep role playing class adjustments and a true dynamic open world. Santuray will feel more open than ever before.
The “Overwatch” sequel follows on from the 2016 original game which was released to an instant fanbase of both gamers and critics alike, the $1 billion net profit in its first year says it all . It also played a big part in making the E-Sports genre what it is today, and I’m sure that fans who have made a change to games like Fortnite since it’s release will be coming back to Overwatch on mass.
The sequel will feature:
KEEP YOUR COLLECTIONS
Your accomplishments and loot collections will be carried forward to Overwatch 2. That means you’ll keep your skins, player icons, sprays, emotes, and more!
NEW MAPS AND HEROES
Current Overwatch players will battle side-by-side with Overwatch 2 players in PvP multiplayer; they’ll also be able to play Overwatch 2 heroes and maps.
