Fortnite is now available on mobile devices, specifically on iOS
Epic Games made the announcement on Twitter today which means that the beta version which required a special link or an invitation from a friend has gone alpha on iOS.
You do need an internet connection and iOS 11 to be able to play the battle royal building game that is especially popular among twitch streamers.
Apart from the initial app install there is a sizable download file when you first load the game. The controls are like any mobile shooter so don’t expect to be building jumping and shooting as fast as you do on PC or console. It will however scratch the Fortnite itch during a lunch break at work or on the train.
The Android version is still under development and should arrive within a few months.
