All-Purpose Sounds Great, EPOS H3 Closed Acoustic Gaming Headset Review

The EPOS H3 is a wired gaming headset that brings a hassle-free audio experience to pretty much anyone who needs a pair of headphones and a microphone.

It doesn’t offer many bells and whistles, or gaming gimmicks, but they are really comfortable and it works on all devices.

REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

The design is very much in the EPOS mould, stylish and very “gamer” with a couple of different colour options. The pair I reviewed was the glorious white colour, but the pair we are giving away right now is the Onyx Black, which we ran a poll on a little while ago and discovered was the most popular option for users.

IT WORKS WITH EVERYTHING

When we say it works everywhere, it really does. The device gives perfect quality sound on Xbox consoles, and Playstation including the PS5, Nintendo Switch, Mac and PC and is even great to plug into your mobile device.

MUTE IN ONE MOVE

The studio-quality noise-cancelling Microphone boom arm has a built-in mute feature to access it all you need to do is lift the arm all the way up and you’ll hear a click. This puts it out of your face and enables the mute.

EPOS H3 – TURN IT UP

The volume dial fits seamlessly into the design on the right ear cup. It means nothing is sticking out but while the quality in the build that you feel as your finger rotates the dial isn’t as strong as some of the more pricy models it’s still a pleasant experience.

While it’s mostly plastic in design, there is a stainless steel slider in the headband to provide structure and easy adjustments.

The design means they are really lightweight, especially when compared to other headsets in the EPOS range like the GSP670 wireless which has some weight to it. The lighter comfortable design lets you wear the headset for extended periods while you try to defeat those annoying bosses in Elden Ring.

HOW DOES IT SOUND?

The sound is really strong, delivering some deep bass and real clarity when gaming. The chat comes through quite clear also. Having it connected through a wire means no dropouts or battery issues.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall I really enjoyed my time with the EPOS H3 Headset, it’s genuinely one of the more comfortable headsets I’ve worn with the adjustments creating a really snug fit. Sound is wonderfully engineered for high-quality audio at a really reasonable price.
