80s SciFi Icons Return with Terminator and Robocop Games Revealed

If you grew up watching the great sci-fi movies of the 80s then you might want to brace yourself as two giants of the business are getting brand new stories in the form of video game media.

Massive franchises “Terminator” and “Robocop” are being developed once again into impressive-looking games and some big announcements and trailers gave us more insight at the recent Nacon Connect Presentation.

The Terminator game will be in the post-apocalyptic open-world survival genre and features an original story that builds on the events of the official films. You play as a group of nuclear apocalypse survivors fighting to stay alive in a time period between Judgment Day and the creation of John Connor’s resistance.

It’s still in development but a reveal trailer is enough to get us all excited for this. The concept is excellent.

Terminator Survival Project

Robocop: Rogue City is the title based on the “part man, part machine, all cop” hero of 1987’s Robocop film and its sequels.

The first-person shooter actually sees the iconic actor Peter Weller reprise his role, returning to Old Detroit to dispatch justice.

Robocop Rogue City Gameplay Reveal

Look out, because there’s also a return of OCPs giant killer robot ED209 who you will no doubt do battle within the game.

Robocop will be released in June 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
